Hanko Angus and Kick Tail to go to Trot Mondial.
Montreal, August 19th. Now that champion Moni Maker’s presence has been confirmed for the Trot Mondial, there are two more illustrious figures who have joined the group of starters for the Trot Mondial. The names of Hanko Angus and Kick Tail have been added to the prestigious list of eleven horses that will line up behind the mobile starting gate on
Saturday, August 28.
Owned by Claude Charest, Claude Tremblay and Marino Fabbri, Hanko Angus comes to town to the great delight of fans in the Montreal region. Winner of the 1998 Prix du Québec and the Maple Leaf Trot, Hanko Angus
proudly holds a record time of 1.54 and has a bank account amounting to $688,091. Last Saturday, he finished strongly in second place at the Maple Leaf Trot, and it will be interesting to watch his performance in the Final on Saturday afternoon.
As for Kick Tail, he comes to Montreal with a single goal, to take home the title of World Champion! Owned by Arden Homestead Stable, Kick Tail was impressive with a convincing victory in the Arthur Cutler Memorial Final at The Meadowlands this year against the best in North America. This son of Sierra Kosmos holds a record time of 1.53.3 as well as a bankroll of over $600,000. In 1998, he won the World Trotting Derby at the Duquoin track.
