Simb Capi crowned Queen
The most prestigious stake for the "ladies" of Swedish trotting, the 4-Y-O Mare Championship (only 4-year-old mares) at the Axevalla-track, was as expected captured by Simb Capi, trained and driven by Lutfi Kolgjini.
The stake was also the highlight of the unique triple-day card at Axevalla, visited Sunday by an estimated crowd of 16.000.
Simb Capi has dominated the major events for the females of her generation and she was well worth adding this important stake (worth $ 95.000) to her great slate- 25 starts:15-2-0)
Because of internal disputes among the previous owners, she was recently officially offered for sale and the buyer, as in the recent sensational Swedish purchases, was Michael Schröer (Stall November), who supposedly paid close to
$ 350.000
She entered the Lutfi Kolgjini Stable for training during the last two weeks before her most important racing-occassion, and after an impressive victory in her elimination, everybody voted for her to win the final.
The Swedish trotting chanel TV 4 (paid by the sport) used her trainer Lutfi Kolgjini for ruthless promotion of the race, but both Simb Capi and "Ludde" stood up to the challenge.
The expected scenario then unfolded, as Olle Goop took command with Mack Action Ås(Mack Lobell) and the most winning Swedish trainer/driver was well aware of her preferences and yielded immediately as Simb Capi made her move for the front.
The rest of the way was just a "promenade", as Simb Capi was allowed to decide the conditions.
"Ludde" could reduce the pace to an easy "stroll" and came home alone after a 1:57 last kilometer.
She was timed in a rate of 2:03.4 over 2.640 meters
She was followed by two "Macks", Mack Action Ås and fast finishing Kramer Chick.
Simb Capi is a daughter of the divided Hambletonian-winner Probe (Super Bowl - A.C´s Wonder) and out of the U.Simport Cap and Tassel (Arnie Almahurst) (sixth offspring)
She was bred by the fairly new Swedish breeders, Ulrik & Ylva Lind, who took over many mares from the previous imperium of John-Erik "Goya" Magnusson.
Simb Capi came out of their first crop. The lucky breeders are as a matter of fact living in the same area as the stake took place.
