Winning streak stopped for Gentle Star
Not only Moni Maker´s streak of 18 wins in a row in U.S was stopped this weekend. Norway´s new King of Trotting, Gentle Star also had 18 in a row, when he entered V75-3 Years at Jaegersro, Malmo.
Gentle Star (Speedy Tomali), who still needs some weight to stay to the trot, made a break but corrected his error still to be in good shape and we can look forward to seeing him back next season. I´m convinced Norway will have a new star in the main aged events during next year.
Monster of Speed (Heads Off), the sensational purchase to France last winter won, and looked terrific as he trotted flawlessly for Olle Goop. Olle Goop/Monster of Speed managed to keep Lookout Victory (Valley Victory) locked in the two-hole, so she just could pick up 2.nd place money. Monster of Speed was timed in a rate of 2:00.1/2.140 metres. He will make another start in 1996, before heading for France and winter-training. He will participate in the international events next season, where also Lookout Victory will be a welcomed entry. Olle Goop is in a period of success and won three of the seven V75 races. The Gold-division(FFA) was captured by Lovely Godiva (Ideal du Gazeau - Keystone Gwen), driven by P-O Pettersson, although she raced heavily pulling on the outside of the leader Good As Gold most of the way. She was timed in a rate of 2:00,05/2.640 metres and will prepare for the international events in France (Prix d´Amerique, Prix de France, Prix de Paris) - all part of the rich Vincennes Winter-Meeting.
